Landscaping for Wildlife

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Now days we are so much more aware of the impact we humans have on the environment. In the past it was not understood how the urban sprawl effected and destroyed wildlife and eco systems. Many animals have become extinct as the result of humans moving into areas, taking over and destroying the native flora to the point that the native animals could no longer survive.

Thank goodness, times are changing and people are recognising the need to cater for the environment and the birds and animals native to their area.

By having a garden that caters to the wildlife you will not only be helping the wildlife but you will have plants that are native to your area and that will grow better because of it. They will be familiar with the earth they are planted in and the year round conditions. If they have managed to survive for thousands of years before you, then I suspect it will be relatively hard to kill them off. So, take heart all of you with no green thumbs.

The point of having a native garden is to attract the local wildlife. To give them a safe haven to live, breed and keep going. Your small bit to save the species.

In our new ebook 'Landscaping for Wildlife' you will find a four step plan to designing your garden.

The first step is determining the wants and needs of the environment. your needs and those of the wildlife you are going to care for. This is reallly important as delicate wild life needs space to florish as do you and your family.

The second step is to inventory and map the existing garden. You may want to keep specific features of your garden including mature trees.

the third step is to eveluate the conditions, by knowing the exact conditions you are dealing with, including earth analysis, you will be in a much better position to grow the plants best suites to your plot.

The Last step is to design your new garden and then get planting.

This has been a quick over view of the four step plan to creating your wildlife garden. The ebook 'Landscaping for Wildlife' is packed with all you need to create a place you, your family and nature will live in harmony.
